What do we need to provide the factory for logo printing on a charger?
The question

We want our logo printed on Wecent’s 65W charger. What exactly should we send the factory, and what should we check?

Main answer · Wecent Editorial Team

Short answer: Send vector artwork (AI, EPS, PDF or SVG with outlined fonts), the exact colours (Pantone references), the size and position marked on the factory’s product drawing, your preferred printing method if any (pad printing, silk screen, laser), and brand guidelines. Keep clear of required markings and vents. Approve a physical printed sample, agree colour tolerance and durability tests, and include them in inspection.

Artwork files

Vector files scale without losing quality. Convert text to outlines so fonts don’t change. Include a version for light and dark backgrounds if needed.

Colours

Give Pantone references. Printing on plastic may look different from print on paper. Agree a physical colour reference.

Size and position

Ask the factory for a product drawing and mark the logo position and size. Avoid areas reserved for the rating label, CE and other markings, vents and seams. Logos shouldn’t confuse or cover required information.

Printing method

  • Pad printing: common for curved surfaces; good detail.
  • Silk screen: flat surfaces, solid colours.
  • Laser engraving: durable, single tone; depends on material.
  • Moulded: embossed or debossed in the mould; requires tooling changes.

Ask Wecent which methods are available for the model and the cost of each.

Durability

Agree a rub or tape test so the logo doesn’t wear off quickly. Logos on surfaces that are handled often, such as the top of a travel charger, wear faster.

Samples

Approve a printed sample before production. Check colour, sharpness, position and durability. Keep it as the reference for inspection.

Packaging

Logo artwork often goes on packaging too. Provide files for both and coordinate approvals.

Costs and MOQ

Ask about setup costs (plates, screens), per-unit costs and any minimum quantity for logo printing. Wecent’s product pages list an MOQ of 200 pieces per model.

Multiple logos or co-branding

Co-branded gifts with two logos need extra care with spacing and hierarchy. Send a layout showing both logos and agree which is primary. Small products have little space, so co-branding often works better on packaging than on the charger itself.

Timeline

Logo printing adds a step to sample approval. Allow time for one correction round, especially for colour matching on darker or textured housings.

Trademark

Make sure you own or are licensed to use the logo. For corporate gifts, get written approval from the client.

Where this answer says confirm with Wecent, the detail is not published on the product page and has to come from the datasheet or the factory. General facts come from the standards bodies, regulators or device makers named in the text.

Three more perspectives

Wecent Editorial Team · Purchasing perspective

Ask for a digital mock-up first, then a physical sample. It saves rounds of physical samples.

Wecent Editorial Team · Compliance/QC perspective

Check that logo placement doesn’t interfere with required markings or ventilation.

Wecent Editorial Team · After-sales perspective

Logo wear is a common complaint on travel chargers. Durable methods reduce it.
