OEM & ODM: Turn a Platform into Your Product

Some brands need an existing charger with their logo on it. Some need a form factor that does not exist yet. We work at both ends, and the level of customisation follows your timeline and budget rather than a fixed package.

Three Levels of Customisation

Re-badge an existing model

Pick a charger already in production and change what the customer sees: logo, labels, colour, retail box. Fastest route, and the working parts stay exactly as certified.

Re-spec within tested limits

Move the wattage tier, port mix or plug kit inside an existing platform. Suits brands running several SKUs across marketplaces and regions.

Co-develop something new

Design the form, materials and surface detail from your own product language, with engineering, tooling and certification handled here.

What We Can Change

Power & ports

GaN output from 20W to 240W; single, dual or multi-port layouts; USB-C only, USB-C plus USB-A, or mixed hubs.

Look & feel

Shell colour and finish, surface texture, logo method — print, laser or UV — including multi-colour.

Branding & packaging

Labels, box artwork, insert and sleeve design, or neutral packing for private label.

Compliance & logistics

Certification groundwork for your destination markets, plug kits per region, and carton layouts that suit your warehouse.

How a Project Runs

01

Discovery & scope

Your device list, target markets, certifications and price point mapped against a platform that can actually hit them.

02

Solution & quotation

Power and port configuration, plug types, materials and packaging direction, with a costed quotation.

03

Samples & validation

Pre-production samples carrying your logo and finish, for internal sign-off and field testing.

04

Certification & mass production

Compliance work for your countries, then production with in-line electrical and reliability testing.

05

Delivery & next batches

Packing, documentation and shipping, plus a feedback loop that feeds the next wattage tier or SKU.

Keeping Risk Low While You Grow

A new charger line usually fails for commercial reasons rather than technical ones: too much stock, too many suppliers, certifications that arrive after the launch date. The process here is built to avoid those three.

  • Start at 200 pcs per model and scale only the SKUs that sell.
  • Documented inspection gates and batch traceability, so defects surface here rather than in your warehouse.
  • One project owner for the whole programme — no re-explaining your requirements to a new contact each quarter.
  • A 2-year warranty with 24-hour complaint resolution behind every shipment.

OEM and ODM: the difference that matters

ODM means you take a platform we already build, certify and test, and put your brand on it: logo, colour, finish, cable, pouch and retail carton. OEM means the product is developed around your specification — a different housing, a different port layout, sometimes a completely new power stage — and the certification is then carried for your model. Most first projects are ODM, because it reaches the market in weeks rather than months.

How an ODM project runs

Send the specification you want on the label: wattage, port mix, plug types, destination market and the packaging format. We confirm the platform and the certifications on file, then quote tooling for the parts that change — usually the enclosure, the carton and the printing plates. A branded sample follows; once that is approved, the bulk order is scheduled.

When OEM makes sense

OEM is the right route when the product has to fit an existing system — a dock that must match a laptop family, a travel kit with fixed dimensions, a charger that has to sit inside another product's packaging. It costs more and takes longer, but it is the only way to change the mechanical envelope rather than the surface.

Tooling, MOQ and cost

Enclosure tooling, printing plates and packaging dies are quoted separately and belong to your programme. Branded first orders start at 200 pcs per model, which keeps the initial commitment low enough to test a channel while still covering the setup. Unit cost falls with quantity, and the quotation states clearly which parts change with volume.

Certification on a branded product

Because the safety-critical parts stay on the certified platform, your branded version keeps the CE, RoHS, FCC and other reports already issued for that platform. Where the change is mechanical, we re-test the affected parts and issue the updated document.

What we need from you to quote

For an ODM quotation: the wattage, the port mix, the plug types, the destination market and the quantity for the first order. For an OEM quotation, add the mechanical constraints — the enclosure size if it has to fit something, the cable type, the connector positions, and any brand guideline the surface has to follow. With those in hand the quotation can state tooling, sample date, unit cost at each volume and the certification path for your market, rather than a price that changes later.

Frequently asked questions

  • Can you keep our drawings confidential? Yes — NDAs are signed before drawings are exchanged.
  • Who owns the tooling? Your programme owns the tooling it pays for.
  • How long does an ODM order take? Sample in about two weeks, trial order in two to three weeks after approval.

Tell Us What You Need to Charge

Send the device list, target markets and first order quantity. You get charger options, the certification list for your countries and a costed quotation — usually within 24 hours.
