Factory-direct GaN & wireless chargers · MOQ from 200 pcs

From Charger Components to Charger Programmes

WECENT has been building charging hardware in Shenzhen since 2018, moving from straightforward adapters to a GaN and wireless portfolio that now covers 20W–240W.

Since 2018 Shenzhen GaN since the early switch

The Start

The company began as a Shenzhen manufacturing operation serving brands that needed adapters made reliably and shipped on schedule. Most of those early customers came through referrals — a pattern that still produces a good share of our work today.

The GaN Shift

When gallium nitride moved from a premium curiosity to a practical option, the interesting problem stopped being raw wattage and became thermal and mechanical: how much output fits in a case a person will actually carry.

That is the question the current range is organised around — 20W to 240W on shared platforms, so a brand can start with one model and extend the line without starting the certification work again.

Where We Are Now

  • Around 200 brands, distributors and private-label teams supplied across Europe, the Americas and Asia.
  • Roughly 98% client retention over five years, with a defect rate under 1%.
  • A portfolio spanning wall chargers, travel adapters, wireless stands and magnetic Qi2 models.
Our story — how a Shenzhen charger factory built its GaN and wireless range Know moreKnow less

How it started

WECENT began as a small assembly operation serving local accessory brands that needed chargers built to their own labels rather than bought from a trader. The work was unglamorous: source the components, build the power stage, test every unit, print the carton and get it on a container. That habit — owning every stage instead of passing it along — is still the shape of the business today.

Why GaN changed the product range

When gallium nitride devices became affordable at consumer volumes, the same output could be built into a much smaller body that ran cooler. That mattered most above 65W, where silicon chargers were large, heavy and warm, and it is the reason the range now runs from 20W phone chargers to 240W multi-port units that replace a laptop brick and a phone charger at once. The platform approach came from the same period: certify one design well, then offer it in many configurations.

Adding wireless charging

Wireless charging arrived as a second family rather than a replacement. It shares the same power-supply building blocks, which is why a brand can launch a travel adapter, a desktop GaN charger and a magnetic charging stand as one programme instead of three separate supplier relationships. The hard part was never the coil — it was alignment and heat, and both are mechanical problems that a sample settles faster than a data sheet.

What stayed the same

Two things have not changed since the first orders: the specification does not move between the sample and the production run, and the person who answers a technical question is the person who built the sample. Buyers notice both, usually in the second order rather than the first.

Where the range is going

The next additions follow the same pattern as the last ones: higher power over USB-C PD 3.1 for laptop-class devices, smaller bodies in the phone band, and more magnetic and Qi2 wireless shapes as those standards spread through new phone generations. Each release is a configuration of a platform that is already certified, which is why a new model can be sampled quickly and produced without a long engineering cycle.

What we learned building for export

Selling into Europe, North America, the Gulf and Australia taught the range more than any single product decision: 100-240V input became universal, plug systems became modular, and documentation became part of the product rather than an afterthought. The carton, the manual and the test report are now designed with the electronics, because a container that clears customs is worth more than a slightly cheaper unit.
