The brand launched on a white label charger, the first season sold well, and the second order arrived with a different finish because the factory had changed the moulding supplier. Nothing in the agreement prevented it. The product carried the …
Six units out of a thousand were dead on arrival, and the two parties spent three weeks deciding whether that was a claim or a rounding error. The shipment was not the problem; the absence of a threshold was. A …
Eleven weeks is how long one charger claim took to close, and the analysis itself took four days. The rest of the time was spent establishing which batch the units came from, because the cartons carried a date but not …
Two claims against the same charger were handled differently, and the cause was a single clause. One agreement defined a failure as a unit that did not meet its output specification; the other referred to defective workmanship. The first claim …
The counterintuitive part of private label is that the brand does not automatically own the name on the product. A factory that developed a house brand, or that registered it defensively in its own market, may already hold rights that …
An enclosure was tooled and then found in a register, because the search had been run against the product's name rather than against its appearance. The design was not copied and the tool was still at risk, which is the …

The minimum order quantity is not set by the customer's budget or by the supplier's preference. It is set by the smallest economical batch for each process in the chain - the SMT panel, the moulding run, the print plate, …

The charger charged the sample phone in the office and failed on the customer's, and the difference was a case. Two millimetres of extra distance between the coils reduced the coupling enough to trigger the control system's thermal protection, and …
Two OEM power adapter programmes reach the same output specification by different routes. The first applies the brand to an existing certified platform: artwork, a label, a retail box and a production slot. The second commissions a new enclosure because …
Adoption of the power delivery specification changes a charger programme in three places: the profile set it has to support, the cable it has to supply and the test positions it has to run. None of them is a wattage …
