How should we order chargers for a promotion with a fixed date?
Work back from the launch date: confirm artwork and samples early, lock the production slot, allow for inspection and shipping, and keep buffer time. Choose stock models over custom designs if time is short.

We are running a promotion that starts on a fixed date and need branded chargers delivered before then. How should we plan the order?
Short answer: Plan backwards from the date the goods must be in your warehouse. Subtract time for local delivery, customs, shipping, pre-shipment inspection, production, material sourcing, and sample and artwork approval. Add a buffer for holidays and delays. If the schedule is tight, choose a stock model with a printed logo instead of custom packaging, and consider air freight for part of the order. Ask Wecent for current lead times before committing to the promotion date.
Start from the delivery date
A fixed promotion date doesn’t move, so every step has to fit before it. Begin with the day the stock must be ready in your warehouse, not the launch day itself, since you need time to receive, check and distribute the goods. Then subtract each stage in turn. If the total doesn’t fit, it is better to know now than when production is already running.
The stages to plan for
The usual sequence is: confirming the model and quantity, artwork and packaging design, samples and approval, deposit payment, material sourcing, production, inspection, packing, shipping, customs clearance and final delivery. Each has a lead time that the supplier can estimate. Printing and custom packaging often take longer than buyers expect, and approval rounds can slip if decision-makers are busy.
Protect the schedule
Set internal deadlines for approvals and stick to them. Late artwork changes are a common cause of missed promotions. Pay deposits promptly so the production slot is confirmed. Check public holidays in the factory’s country, especially around Chinese New Year and national holidays in October, as factories and logistics slow down.
Shipping choice
Sea freight is cheaper but slower and less predictable near peak seasons. If the margin allows, splitting the order, with a smaller part by air to cover launch stock, reduces the risk of empty shelves. Make sure batteries or power banks, if included, meet transport rules.
When time is too short
Choose a stock model with simple logo printing, use standard packaging with a sticker or sleeve, or reduce the quantity. A smaller on-time delivery often serves a promotion better than a perfect late one.
Confirm with Wecent current production and printing lead times for the specific models before setting the promotion date.
