How should coiled cables in charger gift sets be packed and cared for?
Coil cables loosely in their natural direction, avoid tight bends near the connectors, and don't fasten them with tight wire ties. Explain gentle uncoiling and storage on a small card in the gift box.

Our gift sets include a cable coiled inside the box. Some customers say the cable is kinked or damaged near the plug. How should it be packed and cared for?
Short answer: Kinks usually come from coiling too tightly or bending sharply at the connector to fit a small box. Ask for a loose coil of a diameter that suits the cable, with the connectors lying flat rather than bent back. Use soft ties instead of tight wire twists. Include a short card telling customers to uncoil gently and to store the cable loosely rather than wrapped around the charger.
Why gift-box cables get damaged
Gift boxes are designed to look compact, and cables are often forced into a small space. A tight coil, a sharp bend where the cable meets the connector, or a metal twist tie pulled hard can stress the conductors and jacket. The damage may not be visible until the customer uses the cable, and then it looks like a quality problem.
How to pack
Ask the factory to coil cables loosely, following the cable’s natural curve, with a coil diameter large enough to avoid kinks. Connectors should lie flat in the tray rather than being folded back against the cable. Paper bands, hook-and-loop straps or soft silicone ties are gentler than wire twists. If the box is too small for a sensible coil, adjust the insert design rather than the cable.
Testing the packed cable
During sampling, leave a packed set closed for some days, then unpack and check the cable for permanent kinks or jacket marks. Repeat a few times with different samples. This is quick and shows whether the packing method works before mass production.
Advice for customers
A small card or line in the instructions helps: uncoil gently, don’t pull from the connector, avoid wrapping the cable tightly around the charger, and store it loosely coiled. Many people wrap cables tightly around chargers for travel, which is a common cause of fraying near the plug.
In storage and display
Keep gift sets flat or upright as packed, not crushed under heavy cartons, which can press the coil into the insert. Display samples should have the cable laid out or lightly coiled, not wrapped tightly for neatness.
Confirm with Wecent the cable type, length and the packing method used for each gift set.
Where this answer says confirm with Wecent, the detail is not published on the product page and has to come from the datasheet or the factory. General facts come from the standards bodies, regulators or device makers named in the text.
