EVT, DVT and PVT look like three samples of the same thing, and they are not. The three builds are separated by the questions they answer, and a programme that runs them as three deliveries usually reaches the third one …
Three prototypes is the working number on a charger programme, and a brief that asks for one usually receives a unit that satisfies nobody. Twelve units are built at the first stage, three at the second and thirty at the …
A charger went to tooling with a two-piece enclosure and came back with a draft angle that could not be moulded at the wall thickness specified. The design was correct on paper; the two numbers had never been checked against …
Two brands briefed the same charger in the same quarter. One approved a working sample and released the tooling; the other ran the sample through a documented gate with a thermal measurement and a compliance review first. The second programme …
Two buyers asked the same factory for the same concession in the same month. The first asked for open account on a first order and was declined. The second asked for the balance to move from before shipment to against …
A charger programme lost a season because the buyer's credit line was exhausted in the month the tooling invoice fell due. The order was placed, the samples approved and the production slot booked; the funding was not. Trade finance is …
A thirty per cent deposit and a seventy per cent balance is the most common structure on a charger order, and those two percentages are the least important part of it. What decides whether the structure works is the event …

Nine hundred units per pallet is a comfortable figure for a charger carton, and the distance between nine hundred and seven hundred and fifty is a fifth of the freight on the same order. That figure is set by the …
Two programmes ordered the same charger in the same month. One booked sea freight a quarter ahead and landed the units at roughly a third of the freight cost; the other flew a third of the volume and still reached …
A container of chargers arrived with the cartons swollen and the corner boards crushed, and every unit inside tested to specification. The load had been packed to the container's width rather than to the pallet, and the humidity of a …
